Ongoing Projects

Ongoing projects require a commitment of 1-2 hours each week on a set schedule. Contact volunteer@alvaradoschool.net or leave a note in the PTA president mailbox if interested.

Help out in the school library by assisting our librarian and shelving books.

Affix labels to approximately 100 copies of the school newsletter every Monday morning, then distribute to teacher mailboxes. (This project is a commitment of 15-20 minutes per week.)

Prospective parents tour the school one morning a week fall through winter. We need parents (Spanish-speaking, especially) to conduct from three to ten tours. You will be given the information you need to answer questions, and our principal and the tour manager will help you, too.

Parents facilitate movement (and eating!) at lunch, oversee the composting efforts and join in the fun on the yard for recess.
