School Tours • Excursiónes de Escuela
Fall Tours for the 2019-2020 school year run every Tuesday morning from 8:10am-9:10am from October 2nd until December 11th. They start in the cafeteria on 22nd Street. We ask that you leave small ones at home for their safety and to allow you to visit the classrooms.
You can reserve a spot for a tour here.
Given space constraints please only sign up for one tour and please only reserve the number of tickets you are sure you need!
Tours include a 30 minute walk through the school and Q&A with a volunteer parent followed by a brief introduction to the Principal Dr. Murdock.
We do not offer private tours so as to minimize the amount of disruption to our students and staff. For more information please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Plea
Enrollment at all San Francisco public schools, including Alvarado, is handled by San Francisco Unified School District’s Educational Placement Center (EPC). You can read about school placement here. Please note that admission to Alvarado’s General Education and Spanish Immersion programs are handled separately by the EPC.
The non-profit group Parents for Public Schools is a network of public school parents (not funded by the school district), which hosts enrollment workshops throughout the city. The organization is a great resource for navigating the enrollment process.
To see the breakdown of past applicants to Alvarado (sibling, CTIP, neighborhood, etc.), please visit SFUSD’S Student Assignment and Enrollment Reports.
