FETCH!
These easy, hands-on activities are great for eight- to ten-year olds. It’s science, engineering, problem solving, and fun all rolled into one. Each activity has step-by-step instructions and age-appropriate explanations of the main idea. Sponsored by the PBS Fetch Series.

The Great Plant Escape
“Help Detective Leplant and his partners Bud and Sprout unlock the amazing mysteries of plant life.” A teacher’s guide is also available.

Mateo and Cientina
Cartoons and activities in Spanish and English demonstrate how mathematics and science can be fun and educational for the whole family.

NASA Kids Club
Some games and a variety of information resources about NASA projects and space-related events.

Ology
Fantastic, fun and educational site! Interactive games teach about astronomy, paleontology, and other “ologies.” You will need the Shockwave Player to play some of the games.

Peep
This site, which features Flash-based games starring Peep and his friends, entices younger children to explore science. The games will help them learn to estimate distances, mix colors, exercise their memory, and explore basic physics. The site also includes a collection of science resources. You’ll need the free Flash player.

Polymer-Search
Rubber and plastic aside, this page has a long list of interesting science experiments particularly well suited to science fairs, home and in-class experiments.

The Science Toymaker
This non-commercial site features projects that use easily available, inexpensive materials, and don’t require special skills, tools materials or facilities. Activities are thoroughly tested to work, yet also have the potential to be improved by creative inventors and tinkerers.

Fun online games you can play to learn about a variety of topics related to how the human body works. You’ll need the free Flash Player.
