Annual Fund Contributions
To contribute to our Annual Fund through a one-time donation or through regular monthly contributions (preferred), you can download the Annual Fund Pledge Form at left and drop it in with your donation in an envelope and put it in the locked black PTA box located in the mail room next to the school office, donate via our ParentSquare fundraising page, or use PayPal (below) to donate instantly!
Alvarado PTA is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, ID #94-6171208, and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

For families and friends near and far that would like to support Alvarado, we accept donations online, securely, through PayPal. You don’t need a PayPal account – just a credit or debit card – to donate today. Donors receive an email receipt with their donation with the Alvarado PTA Tax ID #.

Mail a Check
Please make checks payable to Alvarado PTA with “Annual Fund” in the note and mail to: Alvarado PTA – Fundraising, 625 Douglass Street, San Francisco, CA 94114. Please also note the name and grade of the Alvarado student(s) with whom you are associated.
Double your Donation with Corporate Matching
Many employers will match your donation to the PTA – including all on this list. Check with your company’s human resources department to see if they have, or are willing to start, a matching gifts program. If they do, please let us know at the time of your donation. If your employer offers a matching program, please email us at corpmatch@alvaradoschool.net so we can add them.
Community Events
The following events are annual Alvarado traditions that require teams of enthusiastic volunteers. If you can lend a hand, your assistance will be very much appreciated. Interested? Email our PTA Volunteer Coordinator or leave a note in the PTA President mailbox in the office.
WORK DAY
Description: Once a year we scour the school, cleaning from the walls on down. The sound of power tools on the yard means bookshelves and benches are being built. Add to that the smell of food and the good company, and you’ve got a great one-time weekend commitment and a school full of grateful children and staff.
TEQUILA PARTY
Description: Tequila tasting, food, and fun! At an Alvarado parent’s home. Fundraising benefits Alvarado PTA. {date TBD}.
FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL
Description: Plan bouncy houses, Cake Walk, pumpkins, entertainment, activities, raffle prizes and more for this fun fall event that follows the Dia de los Muertos art workshop put on by the Art Committee. Or, help out on the day of the event with setup and running booths. More details coming soon, or email president@alvaradoschool.net for more info.
TECH BEER FEST
Description: A night of beer tasting, food, and fun! A fundraiser benefiting technology at Alvarado and hosted at an Alvarado parent’s home by the Alvarado Tech Committee. Learn more by contacting the Tech Committee.
FIESTA LATINA
Description: Fiesta Latina is a great party organized by Alvarado’s Latino community. There’s food, music, dancing, and everyone is guaranteed to have a great time.
AUCTION
Description: Be a part of Alvarado’s biggest fundraiser of the year, our Not-So-Silent Auction. Seek donations, coordinate food and entertainment, and assist with classroom art projects. Then, come and join the fabulous party!Contact organizers at auction@alvaradoschool.net to get involved.
Shop and Dine with Local Merchants
Sports Basement: When you join the Basementeers program (which may cost $25 – the fee is often waived) you can designate Alvarado Elementary as your beneficiary – you’ll get 10% off all your purchases, and Alvarado will earn 10% of the profits from your purchases.
Scrip Merchants
A portion of your purchases at participating merchants will go to Alvarado. Merchants who participate in the Scrip program will automatically donate a percentage of your purchase to the Alvarado PTA.
